What are the stylist’s duties?

The stylist is responsible for costumes, accesories and to help the photographer to create the right theme. Help to create the right atmosphere and feeling in the location.

List your duties as photographer

Plan the shoot in detail
Pack all the equipment that is needed by the photographer
Book all the teammebers, tylist, makup-artist and model etc
Make a storyboard
Make a time schedule for the shooting day
Communicate with the team members
take a lot of pictures
Make different scenes
Make the model comfortable
Plan and stick to breaks under long shoots

Find an editorial fashion spread in a fashion magazine. Explain what you think the concept was, what equipment they used and how the location affected the concept. Scan or photograph the shoot and hand it in along with your answer.

I did not have a fashion magazine at home, but i searched online to find the right fashion spread that I liked.

I think the concept and theme in this photography was dreams and late summerfeeling. The location and the outfit on the model gives the picture feeling off freedom and happiness. The custume is a bit rustic and old and make the model soft and dreamy. The sun shining behind the model also give the picture a dreamy and light feeling.

The photographer made the model clear and made the background a bit unclear to make depht in the photography.
